Shaykh AbdulWahid Stephenson

Arabic & Islamic Studies

AbdulWahid Stephenson has over 15 years teaching experience and has studied Islamic Jurisprudence at the prestigious Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia. He is the founder of Madinah College and Insight into Islam. He is also a Khateeb and has delivered talks at several universities and Islamic centres.

Shaykh Sharif Zain

Quran & Tajweed

Shaykh Sharif, a well known Qari and teacher, is the head of the Quran department at Madinah College. The Shaykh is the founder of Hifdh Madrassah in Streatham and a judge of annual Quran Memorisation Competitions. The Shaykh also has a YouTube channel where you can listen to his amazing recitation as well as watch his top tips on how to memorise Quran.

Shaykh Ibrahim Al Mubtasim

Arabic & Islamic Studies

Shaykh Ibrahim Al Mubtasim began his journey in Arabic studies in 2012, completing the Madinah Books series and Bayna Yadayk. He earned a BA in Arabic from SOAS University in 2019, including a year abroad in Morocco where he deepened his knowledge through classical texts such as Alfiyyah Ibn Malik. He teaches Arabic grammar, morphology, and language proficiency from beginner to advanced levels.

Ustadh Mustafa Motiwala

Arabic & Islamic Studies

Ustadh Mustafa Motiwala has a strong background in Arabic language and Islamic Sciences. He studied classical Arabic and Fiqh under qualified scholars and brings a clear, accessible teaching style that has helped hundreds of students build a solid foundation in both Arabic and Islamic Studies at Madinah College.

Ustadh Zoheir Hajji is an Arabic and Islamic Studies teacher at Madinah College, bringing a structured and engaging approach to his classes. He is dedicated to helping students build a strong foundation in the Arabic language and Islamic sciences.

Ustadh Abdullah Aweis

Quran & Tajweed

Ustadh Abdullah Aweis specialises in Quranic recitation and Tajweed, having memorised the entire Quran and received an Ijazah in its recitation. He is passionate about helping students develop a deep connection with the Book of Allah through correct pronunciation and heartfelt recitation.

Ustadh Ahsan Tayyab

Arabic Language

Ustadh Ahsan Tayyab is a dedicated Arabic language teacher with expertise in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. His patient and structured approach makes complex Arabic grammar accessible to all levels, from complete beginners to advanced students studying classical texts.
