- Make Tawbah (Repent from sins) - to succeed in your worldly life and afterlife. Allah says:
وَتُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا أَيُّهَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
And all of you beg Allah to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful (24:31)
- Recite Qur’an - reading the words, contemplating the meaning and following the injunctions. Allah says:
اتْلُ مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ
Recite what has been revealed to you of the Book (29:45)
- Support Family and the Needy - knowing that Allah alone extends and withholds provision will awaken you to the fact that wealth will never decrease by spending it in the way of Allah. Allah says:
فَآَتِ ذَا الْقُرْبَى حَقَّهُ وَالْمِسْكِينَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيلِ ذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ لِلَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
So give your close relatives their due, as well as the poor and the ˹needy˺ traveller (30:38)
- Give Sadaqah (Charity) - whoever is generous with his wealth has indeed achieved a great reward that will be multiplied over and over again beyond what was spent. Allah says:
مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يُقْرِضُ اللهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا فَيُضَاعِفَهُ لَهُ أَضْعَافًا كَثِيرَةً وَاللهُ يَقْبِضُ وَيَبْسُطُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
Who will lend to Allah a good loan which Allah will multiply many times over? It is Allah ˹alone˺ who decreases and increases ˹wealth˺. And to Him you will ˹all˺ be returned. (2:245)
