شَهْرُ رَمَضَان، شَهْرُ الصِّيامِ وَالْقِيامِ وَتِلاوَةِ الْقُرْآن، شَهْرُ الْعِتْقِ وَالْغُفْران، شَهْرُ الصِّدَقاتِ وَالْإِحْسان، شَهْرُ تُفْتَحُ فَيْهِ أَبْوابِ الْجَنَّات، وَتُضاعَفُ فِيْهِ الْحَسَنات، وَتُقالُ فِيْهِ الْعَثْرَات، شَهْرُ تُجابُ فَيْهِ الدَّعْوَات، وَتُرْفَعُ فِيْهِ الدَّرَجات، وَتُغْفَرُ فِيْهِ السَّيِّئَات
1:
الفضيلة الأولى: شهر رمضان شهر نزول القرآن والكتب السماوية: قال تعالى: (شهر رمضان الذي أنزل فيه القران هدى للناس وبينات من الهدى والفرقان). وقال تعالى: (إنا أنزلناه في ليلة القدر..) وقال سبحانه: (إنا أنزلناه في ليلة مباركة)
It is the month in which the Qur'an was revealed. As Allah ﷻ says, "The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion." [2:185], and "Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree." [97:1], and "Indeed, We sent it down during a blessed night" [44:1]

ومن فضائل شهر رمضان: أن شهر رمضان شهر التراويح والتهجد: يقول النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: (من قام رمضان إيمانا واحتسابا غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه) أخرجه أهل السنن
It is the month of Taraweeh & Tahajjud (night prayer). The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever stands (in the voluntary night prayer of) Ramadan out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven"

ومن فضائل شهر رمضان: أن شهر رمضان شهر تكفير الذنوب: يقول النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: (من صام رمضان إيمانا واحتسابا غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه) رواه البخاري ومسلم.
It is the month of sins being forgiven, as the Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever fasted the month of Ramadan out of sincere Faith (i.e. belief) and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his past sins will be forgiven"

ومن فضائل شهر رمضان: أن شهر رمضان شهر العتق من النيران: يقول النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: (و ينادي مناد: يا باغي الخير أقبل ويا باغي الشر أقصر، ولله عتقاء من النار وذلك في كل ليلة) رواه الترمذي وابن ماجه.
It is the month of being freed from the Hellfire, as the Prophet ﷺ said, "On the first night of the month of Ramadan a caller calls: 'O seeker of the good; come near!' and 'O seeker of evil; stop! For there are those whom Allah frees from the Fire.' And that is every night."

ومن فضائل شهر رمضان: أن شهر رمضان شهر الجود والإحسان: فعن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما قال: (كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أجود الناس وكان أجود ما يكون في رمضان حين يلقاه جبريل فيدارسه القرآن). رواه البخاري ومسلم.
It is the month of being generous and doing good to others. Ibn Abbaas said, "The Prophet ﷺ was the most generous of people, and in Ramadan he used to be even more generous in Ramadan when Jibreel would revise the Qur'an with him."
